Arte and the Lost Tomb is a W-Tales story featuring Arte Fact and Matilda Monkey. It tells of his first adventure as an archaeologist discovering the lost pyramid of Hippo Potamus, a Webkinz Pharaoh.

Summary[]
On a visit to the Curio Shop, Roberta Rabbit, Sparky Fact, and Molly Pig find an old portrait of an explorer with his arm around a creature. They ask Arte who the explorer is, in which Arte admits that its him. This prompts the 'Kinz to ask Arte about the story behind the portrait. Arte agrees and sits down to tell the story.
After graduating from college as an archaeologist, his teacher, Professor Stripes, encouraged him to take on an adventure: finding the lost tomb of Hippo Potamus, a Webkinz Pharoah. Arte agreed, and received a set of gold keys, a rope, a silver shovel, and the Mystical Book of Webkinz World to help him on his way. He began his adventure, traversing through Mount 'Kinz and Kinz Valley. He eventually found himself journeying through the depths of a jungle, using his tools to aide him. Soon after entering it, he decided to set up camp and read about the frightening monsters rumored to inhabit near the tomb.
While reading, he is encountered by Matilda Monkey, a monkey who lives within the jungle. From her first interaction with him, she guides Arte to take the right paths and to make the right decisions, although Arte remarks her as less than friendly. He continues along his adventure and encounters a bear in a cave. After solving the bear's riddle, Arte makes his way through the cave and to the edge of an unstable rope bridge. He crosses it, but breaks when Matilda attempts to cross; Arte manages to save her with his rope.
Finally, they reach the tomb which is populated by the not-so-frightening Azure Zingoz. They greet him and tell him that he's found the treasure, but that it's locked behind the immovable scarab. After inputting a code, nothing happens. The Zingoz invite the duo to try again tomorrow and are invited to stay for the night and have a feast to celebrate their arrival.
The next day, Matilda discovers that the scarab moved and revealed a keyhole. Arte inputs the correct key from his key ring and a door opens to reveal a dark tunnel. Arte and Matilda enter, and after several hours, return to announce that an enormous amount of treasure had been discovered. After sharing what was found with the group, the Azure Zingoz allow Arte to bring some of the treasure back to Kinzville. Once returning to Kinzville, he became renowned for discovering the lost tomb. Arte ends his tale.
Roberta asks what happened to Matilda Monkey. Arte says that she was introduced to Professor Stripes and given a chance to be enrolled to Kinzville university. Unfortunately, she became lost during an archaeological expedition and hasn't returned. As Roberta and her friends leave the shop, she sees a peculiar monkey walk back in to greet Arte.
