The Squirrel Monkey has stringy gray fur with a peach-colored chest, ears and hands/feet. Its arms and legs are brown, and its tail is brown with gray on the end. It has large eyes, a white face and a dark gray muzzle. The plush version has a blue NASA jacket that can be taken off. The virtual pet version has a smooth coat unlike the plush.

- The Squirrel Monkey was made as a collaboration with the U.S. Space and Rocket Center for its educational Space Camp program to honor Miss Baker, a squirrel monkey who was one of the first animals to safely return from a space launch. It was therefore only available on Space Camp's official gift store and in person at the center itself.
- The virtual equivalent of the Space Jacket that the Squirrel Monkey plush wears can be won in the exclusive challenge that unlocks upon adoption of the Squirrel Monkey, alongside the Mission Control Center, the Space Center Flooring, the Space Center Wallpaper, and the Space Cap.
